So in my job I do supercomputer simulations of galaxies – you take what we know about gravity, how much matter there is in the universe, how atoms interact, how stars are made, etc, and put it all into something a bit like a very complicated videogame (it’s a bit like how they figure out the weather forecast, except in space!)
However, if you simplify things, you can run the same program on a normal computer. So my idea would be to take the program that I use and set it up so that you can run it on your computer. Then you could fly around it in 3D like you can in a videogame.
