I only wear a tiny bit of makeup day to day but I do quite like it every now and then when your going out somewhere. Similarly we can wear what we like to work so I’m often in jeans and a t-shirt, but on occasions it’s nice to think about what you wear a bit more.

I don’t wear any (which I guess is not surprising). It can make people look nicer, but what makes someone attractive isn’t all about looking pretty – try to be an awesome person, too! Also, simple stuff like washing enough to stop spots and keeping clean can make a lot of difference to how someone looks. Being a teenager is hard because you suddenly start getting sweaty and getting spots everywhere, but you can buy stuff to stop this.

I don’t wear make up because it would look funny on my beard…! Also, some make – up is tested on animals first and if the make up goes wrong the animal can get hurt.

I do wear makeup, though not heavily, and I try to keep it natural mostly (unless I’m going out to a smart event). I don’t like makeup if it’s too overdone – it should be there to accentuate your features rather than stand out. I mean, people shouldn’t actually *notice* that you’re wearing makeup. If you have to spend more than 5 minutes on make up in the morning chances are it’s too much.
But it’s purely a personal thing, I just like the way I feel when I make some effort about myself. I actually have quite an oily skin, but that’s a good thing because when I’m older I’ll have less wrinkles 🙂
What Sam says is true though – attractiveness is definitely not all about looks. And personally, my top things for keeping a clear skin are:
* Get enough sleep, drink enough water, and exercise daily
* Protect your face (and the rest of you) from the sun – skin cancer sucks, and even without cancer the UVA rays are horrid to your skin – you don’t want to look like leather when you’re 40! (And please, please, stay away from tanning beds).
* Wash your face every night and every morning, and use a good moisturiser suited for you. (face wash is less important – just don’t use one that’s too harsh. And I only use toner about once a week. Exfoliator every 1 – 2 weeks.
* Finally, change your bed sheets and pillowcase once a week! (this really helps!)Of course I don’t always follow my own instructions – definitely not on the first point! I do drink lots of water, but sleep? I get about 5 hours per night, which is fine normally but when I’m sick (like I am now) it’s definitely not enough!

Again, it’ll come as no surprise I don’t wear it. However, for women (and some men) it’s a personal choice whether they want to or not. It very much depends on what kind of impression you’re trying to make and your own feelings on make-up.
