I don’t think so. Being well rested probably helps but the human body tends to need regular breaks to recharge. There’s only so long one brain can work without needing to switch off for a while.

So apparently you can – http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/8504867.stm

But that said, getting a regular sleep pattern helps. Otherwise you find it hard to sleep when you’re supposed to. That said, I’m always tired from doing stuff in the evenings and getting up to go to work…

It always feels nice waking up after a great sleep, but there is such a thing called oversleeping as well. This happens because you confuse your body clock and you feel tired. If you wake up feeling super energized and ready to run around all day maybe you have banked some sleep! I’ve only heard of people talking about “catching up” on sleep, which might be because I hang around people that try to squeeze as much as possible into one day, and because I’m a new parent!

I honestly thought you couldn’t, then I read that article. That’s pretty cool, I ought to try it.

Now if only there was a way you could catch up on sleep…
