Hi @JoelyWoely – The biggest risk is that we are working with superconductive electromagnets. These produce very strong magnetic fields (so no metallic objects!) and have to be kept cold with liquid nitrogen which has an approximately temperature of -180 degrees Celsius. It is very similar to an MRI machine but these instruments are much stronger. Finally, i also sometimes work with dangerous organic chemicals but i try to avoid that as much as possible.
At the end of the day, all risks are minimized when you have the appropriate training 🙂
