• Question: Hello! I was wondering what made you become interested in studying cancer and diseases? I am hoping to study medicine at university next year and I have applied to King's college in London, I was wondering if you have had much experience in London hospitals and how your research is/can be used within the medical field. Thanks.

@Angel_773 – Hi! I appreciate the severity of serious diseases such as cancer, through a personal experience, which motivates me to contribute in the general effort to find a cure. I have worked at a few hospitals around London (mostly St. Mary’s hospital in Paddington) and some of our research facilities are located next to operating theaters.

The aim of my research is to discover diagnostic and mechanistic markers of disease. Diagnostic markers can help diagnose a disease faster (which is always a good thing). while mechanistic markers help understand the mechanism of the disease.
