There are so many careers in biology you could study… Depending on your other subjects you kind go into other specialist subjects. For example completing a Biology A Level alongside chemistry could allow you to consider pharmacy. It is a good idea to choose A Levels you enjoy as it will keep you inspired- but at the same time as you study the subject you may find other areas within biology interesting such as Ecology, analysis of natural drugs from plants.

Hi @Alex. There will be many career opportunities studying biology and any biology related degree. Depending on what other A levels you take you can start shaping your options. Biology and chemistry are a very good solid background for degrees such as biology, chemistry, forensic investigation, pharmacy, biomedicine,…

      ***Confession time****

I never did Biology past year 9! I was in Scotland where for Standard Grade(equiv to GCSE) they split up the sciences. I did Chemistry & Physics.

The answer is lots! And these opportunities are evolving all the time as new research is done…..

Biophysics is a new area-if you miss physics, the door is still open…..
Google Rosalind Franklin & Dorothy Hodgkin: my heroes!

P.S I’m very jealous of biologists been able to film Big Cats, Polar Bears etc 😀 Huge fan of “The Hunted” on BBC-if you haven’t seen it, check it out!

The opportunities are endless. There are lots of awesome jobs for biologists. I think the coolest one I know of is looking at samples from outter space for life forms!
