      I think I answered this in an earlier question inside the zone, but my first experience that i remember was using red cabbage indicator (the purple water left over after you have boiled red cabbage) to identify which materials in the house were acid and which ones were alkali (alkali is the opposite of acid – one will “neutralise” (cancel out) the other). I think I was about 7 or 8 years old at the time, but yes, it established my fascination with colour from an early age!
