At the end of school, I had a mixed bag really. A-grade A-levels in sciences and maths, but I got a C in Music and E in Further Maths(!) (I’m not sure how I’d have done when the A* grade came in though – it wasn’t a possibility for us)

It didn’t stop me doing what I wanted to do though 🙂

I had A’s in Chemistry, Physics and Psychology at A-level but I dropped Biology after I got an E in one of the exams! My worst GCSE grade was in Chemistry though so don’t feel like your whole life will be dictated by those results!

I come from a different (Italian) system: I got top grades from the Scientific lyceum taking Sciences and French literature to the oral exam

I come from a slightly different system from the one found in the UK, although I got some of the top grades available.

Funnily enough, although I’m doing a PhD in Chemistry, chemistry was actually my lowest A level mark. I went on and got a first in my degree though so definitely don’t worry that your A level grades will dictate how well you do at university.
