At the moment I am not in a relationship but it has nothing to do with me being a scientist.

At the end of the day being a scientist is like any other job, where you would have to divide your time between work and real life. Personally I never had any problems because I was a scientist, actually it was something that people actually like about me.

Hi. I am in a relationship and have lived with my partner (Paul) for just over a year. Paul is an engineer so is part of the STEM bracket too. He loves that I am a scientist because it means that with his knowledge of sport, building and music and my knowledge of science, celebrities and soaps we make a pretty awesome quiz team!
Apart from that, I work a lot with steel pipes (you could say I’m half way between a chemist and a plumber) and so am pretty good at DIY at home.

I am married and my husband is also a scientist! So perfect match!

My partner is a scientist! Not only a scientist, but a chemist in the same area! (we don’t work at the same place though) It means that we frequently bounce ideas off each other while making dinner, and we never truly leave work behind.

It’s never dull though, and there’s always something to talk about
