Interesting! I think I would like to visit a huge nebula of gases forming stars, like the horse head nebula. They look so beautiful in photos and there must be so many interesting things happening there!
Enceladus (moon of Saturn, with icy jets spraying out of its south pole). Or Europa (moon of Jupiter, thought to have a subsurface ocean, maybe also has icy jets). I would have to flip a coin, both are extremely fascinating from the little we know so far.
In the constellation of Serpens astronomers found these great big towers of gas and dust hundreds of light years long. In the centre, shrouded by the dust, stars like our sun (and planets like the Earth) are forming. That’s why they’ve been called the ‘Pillars of Creation’. I’d love to fly a spaceship through those!
In a sort of ‘Doctor Who’ universe where I could go and look at anything without too much mortal peril.. I’d really like to see matter falling onto black hole, and the extreme radiation that comes out of that whole process. Or maybe a supernova. I’m into explosions.
