      Hi Tommy,
      I don’t really look at stars so much as distant galaxies – stars in our galaxy are really bright and tend to get in the way a bit when you’re trying to look past them 😉 The furthest back I’ve looked is about 10 billion light years, using data from the VLT in Chile – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVCFc0ZiRt8
