Question: would you like to travel to Mars?

I would love to travel to Mars!!!! I know it would be a long trip, in a small spacecraft, and hard and dangerous, but to go to another planet would be so amazing. And having people on the planet would mean that we could learn so much more about it. The people could get around more quickly than the rovers do and go to places that the rovers find difficult. People can also pick things up and examine them, and do all sorts of experiments. And having learned some things, people could decide what to do next and where to do it, then act so much more quickly than waiting for the data to go from Mars to Earth, like it does now. The rovers and orbiters around Mars do lots of great work and we have learned fantastic things from the data they send back – where there seems to be water and ice, how the climate works, what the planet might have been like in the past. But people on the planet would be the best for learning things – and I would be happy to be one of them!
