• Question: will the sun explode

      Yes. 🙂 But not for 5 billion years (so 5000000000 years). Stars like our sun get red and cool as they age, and they also expand. So when the sun is near the end of its life, it will swell up and reach as far as Earth, so the planet will become a part of the sun. Then, it is likely to explode as a supernova. But by then humans will be gone from the solar system and may be somewhere else, where maybe they can watch what happens.

      Hello, Deer, yes it will in a few billion years and it will eat up the Earth and the other planets in the Solar System as it expands! 🙂

      It will not explode, as stars like the Sun don’t explode. The Sun’s atmosphere will expand, but what will be left of the Sun’s core will turn into a white dwarf.
