Well, that depends on when we talk about. If we look not too far in the future, there might be people on Mars, but they will be living in sealed domes and walking around in space suits. There are likely to be Earth-like planets elsewhere in the galaxy but it would take a long, long time to get there. So it would be best to take care of our planet as best we can. 🙂

Hi Amaiya, what a great question! I study the Moon and know that scientists want to create a ‘Moon village’. This would be somewhere that is protected from rays from the Sun and space generally (known as cosmic galatic rays) and so it has to be underground. The Moon has things called ‘lava tubes’ which once contained hot magma but the magma has now gone. A good place to live would be in the lava tubes. We would still need something to help us breathe because there is no atmosphere and we would need water and some warmth! It’s best that we look after our unique Earth! : -)

We have ideas that we could create places to live on the Moon and on Mars, but it will be really difficult! There will be a lot of really hot and really cold temperatures as well as a lot of radiation from space, so we will probably have to live mainly underground there. I think for now, we should all work hard to make sure that the Earth stays happy and healthy so we don’t have to move

Probably in the main-frame of a super computer, with a good magnetic field protection, plenty of solar panels, a few back-up generators, and access to all human knowledge?
