Do you mean to become a scientist? If so, then the main thing is to be interested in the subject you study. Anyone who is interested in science can learn it and do it. It can be hard work, but it is so interesting and rewarding that it is worth it. 🙂
If you want to become a scientist, keep studying and keep being curious about the world around you! Studying doesn’t JUST mean school, if you read a science book or watch science youtubers, you’re learning science!
Hello Sebastian, If you want to become a scientist, then I strongly recommend doing scientific subjects at school. Choose physics, chemistry and biology. Maths is also an excellent subject to have but not everyone is good at it. Many scientists struggle with maths! Physics uses maths so you can actually apply it to real problems which makes it more fun! : -)
Depends on the experiment you are doing. The best is to always think about what you are trying to investigate and then think of the most objective way to determine that. That usually means doubting yourself all the time and testing and re-testing. Many times it involves writing a lot of computer code, taking more observations, testing the hypothesis from a different angle.
Most of all, all steps we take in Science should be about trying to prove us wrong and finding where things fail. The scientific method is not about finding the truth, but rather refuting or finding what is wrong. Of course, if we keep eliminating what does not work and is false, we should be left with “the truth”, but we will never know for sure 🙂
