My favourite constellation is Orion, because there is a nebula in it which can be just seen by the eye and looks even better through binoculars. And if you get a chance to look at it through a telescope it’s amazing (IMHO). πŸ™‚

Orion is super cool. However, the constellation of Sextans is where I have found the most number of super distant galaxies, including COSMOS Redshift 7 (CR7; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmos_Redshift_7), MASOSA, COLA1 and thousands of other galaxies that existed between 11 and 13 billion years ago. I think that makes Sextans my favourite. Check out https://youtu.be/tKb2osj3nkU in case you want to see a cool zoom in that we did and why this part of the sky has allowed so many discoveries!

Hello beep396, I love the bear constellation – the fact that it almost looks like a bear is really nice : -) It can also be used to find other constellations in the sky.

I like the big dipper! I don’t actually know that many constellations though πŸ™ I don’t study them for my work
