Hello Ned, that’s a great scientific question. The main things that are found in Moon rocks are called ‘minerals’ which are crystals (think of crystals in jewellery). Each of these minerals is made up of lots of different chemical elements like iron, magnesium, silicon, oxygen. I study one of these minerals and it is rich in calcium and phosphorous! So far, there have been no signs of life, such as organic materials, in the rocks that I study and those that other scientists have studied. There’s still a lot of the Moon to explore so you never know what we might find! : -)
