The Earth will last almost as long as the sun does. The sun is about 4.6 billion years old and will last about 10 billion before it gets old, turns red and swells up. When it does this, it will reach as far as the Earth, which will dry up and end up inside the sun. But that is a long, long way in the future. 🙂

Hello Mattia, a great question! Let’s hope it lasts a lot longer! If we ignore the damage that humans are thought to cause on the Earth, the thing that will destroy the Earth in the long-run is our very own Sun! The Sun will eventually get bigger and bigger and will eventually explode! That will destroy most of the Solar System! We won’t have to worry about that for millions of years though so try to enjoy and protect what we currently have 😉

We could always blow up part of it or attach a huge engine to take the Earth off its orbit – then it could last even longer than the Sun and the Solar System. If we leave it be it will last until the Sun becomes a red giant and the atmosphere of the Sun gets well into Earth’s orbit.
