      There have been lots of different viruses over the years and the name Coronavirus is a general name used for a type of illness, so the way ‘flu’ describes lots of different illnesses. So there have been different types of corona viruses in the past and when a new one develops it gets its own name – so this year’s Coronavirus is officially called covid-19. The one that Bill Gates talked about in 2015 was a different virus to the one today but it was also a type of Coronavirus.

      Hello Hanna, you clearly read the newspapers and are very knowledgeable! As I’m sure you know, Bill Gates and his wife do a lot for charity and like to create new products with their money (they have lots of it!!) so they must do a lot of research to find out about the problems (such as viruses) that humans encounter : -)
