Hi Gracem, That’s a complicated question! I think you have to imagine a car factory. There are lots of different parts that need to be put together on a large conveyor belt. There are many people who need to manage each process. The difference when it comes to a rocket is that the parts that make it are much more expensive and the research and design that goes behind making the rocket can take years and years (10 or more!). The rockets are made by scientists who have to consider the force of take off from the launch pad (the rocket needs to survive!) and, at the same time, the rocket needs to protect the people inside (if it is one that carries people). It has to have room for lots of rocket fuel but everything else needs to be very light so that the fuel needed is kept to a minimum. Scientists think very carefully about how much weight the rocket is carrying! Perhaps you should become a rocket engineer! 🙂
