A biome is a collection of plants and animals, as far as we know, there is no life in space, so there are no biomes

Hi Maddy, no biomes have been found on the Moon, which is the body that I study. Scientists keep looking for life beyond Earth but, so far, none has been found. That makes Earth really special : -)

We keep hoping we will find some elsewhere, and underground on Mars or on one of ice moons around Saturn or Jupiter are places where there may be microbes. But nothing has definitely been found yet.

An awesome science question that everyone wants to know and we might be able to answer within the next 10-30 years
