• Question: What do you think your job would be impossible to do without?

      A computer. I need it for almost everything, I even have a laptop for when I travel for work so I’m never without one!

      My job would be completely impossible without satellites, it’s where I get all my data from…. but yes a computer’s pretty damn important to that too!

      Haha, yup, the computer is the astronomers’ lifeline… But I need telescopes for my project with some specific instruments called “spectrographs” that split light into all different wavelengths – without this, I could not ‘see’ my planetary nebulae properly!
