I started being a scientist about 8 years ago. I grew up in New Zealand and moved to Australia to start doing science. It sounds like a long time but it’s enough fun that the time has gone really quickly!

I’ve always been fascinated with science from a young age and have always had the desire to answer questions that many people don’t think about; like what is the nature of time? But technically I started my PhD in September so as a university graduate it has been just under a year. I’m still a baby compared to the other scientists in my zone!

In some ways, I’ve been a scientist as long as I can remember! I’ve always loved tinkering with things and proposing answers to problems I didn’t already have answers for. But they’ve only paid me to do that stuff for a little over a decade. 🙂
