Einstein had a lot of theories and contributed a lot to science.
Easiest way to be convinced about general relativity is that if your GPS didn’t use the corrections for it it’d be off by 10km more every day. That’s quite a big difference!
I did take a class in general relativity when I was a PhD student. It was just about the hardest thing I’ve ever studied and I feel proud that even for a brief moment I understood it. Also it was fun (!) buying the book – very large and impressive looking! 😉 I wish I could remember more of it still….
He had lots, but if you mean the theory of relativity, then it is very good at predicting lots of phenomenon which when we do experiments, do turn out to be true. I think it is a very good theory, one of our best.
Well, I try not to think about any of Einstein’s theories too much because I find physics really tricky to understand. But it makes sense to me whenever I do think about it, that matter and energy should all be related really simply.
