If you think evolution, then every new egg has a new combination of DNA, so over time this will cause mutation, meaning that every time you have a new egg, you have a new creature – by that reckoning, it’s the egg – but that’s one point of view!
I guess that honestly nobody knows. But I think the chicken came first because there was another animal similar to the chicken which, over time, evolved to become the chicken!
the egg was spontaneously formed by a bunch of atoms randomly coming together and forming the egg… this was bound to happen first as the chicken has more atoms so the probability of the Egg coming first is much much higher! :-p
I assume a creature laid the egg! but mutation took place and evolved into a chicken, so now we have chicken. All in all the chicken or the egg came from the stardust.
