0 Question: how big is earth compared to mars? Keywords: earth, mars, size Asked by scazza226 to Adam, Geoff, Rob, Sheila, Suzie on 15 Mar 2011 in Categories: Space.
Adam Tuff answered on 14 Mar 2011:
The Earth’s radius is about twice as big as Mar’s radius, but the Earth has 10 times more mass as it is more dense.
Sheila Kanani answered on 15 Mar 2011:
Mars is a bit smaller than Earth. Earth’s radius is approx. 6371 km whereas Mars’s is approx. 3396 km or 0.533 Earths.
Robert Simpson answered on 15 Mar 2011:
Mars has a diameter just over half that of the Earth. Because there are no oceans on Mars, the two planets actually have about the same land surface area. They also have similar atmospheres – though not the same.
Suzie Sheehy answered on 15 Mar 2011:
Earth has a radius that’s about twice that of Mars…
