日本語を話します?少しだけ。 (Can I speak Japanese? Yes, some!)
The sentence is pronounced “nihongo wo hanashimasu ka? Sukoshi dake”
I’ve been to Japan a few times now, and I love the language. I took an exam in Japanese about six years ago (what would be a GCSE equivalent), and I’ve kept practicing. I can read a lot of signs, phonetically (I.e. I can speak what the sign says) but I sometimes don’t know what it means. I can talk to my friends in Japan in Japanese, but sometimes the conversation is hard to follow – I’ve got a few little tips and tricks (if a sentence ends in “ka” it’s usually a question), so I can at least follow what they say!

The language looks beautiful written, but there are lots of symbols (kanji) learn more every day! Would you like to know how to write your name in Japanese? If so, let me know in the comments!
