• Question: Are space blankets like normal blankets

      Not really, they wouldn’t be very comfy to snuggle under whilst watching a film! They do do the same job though, which is to insulate you or the spacecraft. Something that’s not obvious is that blankets don’t just keep you warm, they can keep cold things cold!

      So, if you wrap a snowman in a blanket, it will keep it from melting when it warms up, isn’t that a strange thought?
