• Question: what was before the big bang , before all the particles even existed.

      I think the question doesn’t make sense, in a way. Because there was no space, there was no time, so there was no “before”.

      You can ask about the very beginning, the first nanosecond. Scientifically I don’t think we will ever know what happened right at the very beginning, because we think physics breaks down. So it is more a philosophical or religious question what happened at the beginning, that you can’t use scientific evidence or reasoning for.

      Sorry for the vague answer, it’s an impossible question!
