• Question: how many big projects have you bin part of?

      It depends what you mean by big. I have worked in a team of about 5 people in my current research, but we rely on loads of others – for example I often get the chance to work with the team that run the telescopes in space. I hope I will be part of some much bigger projects going forward in my PhD – maybe the Solar Orbiter space mission, with the European Space Agency (ESA). Fingers crossed!

      Before my PhD I worked for a company that helped on one of the worlds biggest oil rigs, off the coast of Africa. That was definitely a very big project, with multi million dollar turnovers, and I was pleased to be a part of it.
