Question: what part of the brain causes epilepsy and tourettes

From my understanding of the brain, there isn’t always “one region” which is linked to behaviours. The brain is very complex with about 100 trillion connections! For tourettes though, the main part of the brain involved seems to be the basal ganglia, which is in the middle of the brain. Damage to the hippocampus has been linked to epilepsy.
