A big question for a social scientist! Probably due to a lack of human resources with an ever increasing population and global warming impacting on food production.

I’m not sure actually! Maybe if we don’t start seriously addressing climate change and our impact on the environment – and so all the problems to do with that like harsher weather, less food, less resources, and and a hugely disrupted ecosystem.

It could be any number of reasons — eventually the sun will die so that will certain make the earth uninhabitable (if we haven’t left by then!), and eventually the universe will end so that will also make us go extinct.

In the “shorter” term — it could be climate change, or a planetary disaster like an asteroid.

Humans are tenacious so I expect us to be around for a little while, so long as we can get over our differences.
