      Quantum theory is the theoretical basis of physics that explains the nature and behavior of matter and energy on the atomic and subatomic level. The nature and behavior of matter and energy at that level is sometimes referred to as quantum physics and quantum mechanics. I looked this answer up though…

      To be honest, I don’t know! I haven’t studied physics since I was 15 and we didn’t do quantum physics at school. Scientists usually only know lots about their area of research and not all of science (which might be comforting if you want to do research or science one day!). A good scientist knows it’s impossible to know everything and we have to look things up or ask the experts in that area. Like how Liam has answered by looking up the answer – that’s research!
