• Question: Is there ever a pattern in speech?

      All speech follows patterns. For instance, we all generally speak one at a time (that’s a pattern!), and we all know when someone is about to stop talking (that’s a pattern!). We also use certain words and phrases in the same sorts of ways, like if someone tells you some new information then I would bet the first thing you say after their new information will be “Oh!”, because everyone does!

      There are patterns everywhere and people do the same things without realising. Once you notice these things then you can’t stop seeing the patterns of everyday life.
