      I didn’t know there was a prize at first! It was only when I was filling the application out and there was a question about “the prize money.” I thought it would be fun to speak to students about my research, what it’s like to be a scientist, and also have an opportunity to answer questions about my area of research I’ve not thought about before.

      It’d be great to fund my project, but it’s also pretty fun to talk about science and (hopefully) get other people interested in doing science.

      No, I’d definitely still be doing this if there was no prize money – I just thought it would be fun and interesting to chat to schools and answer their questions, especially as students don’t get many chances to ask scientists whatever they want! I’ll still be doing as many chats as I can even after I get evicted!
