Oh come on, you’ve just had a great weekend – late mornings and a couple of parties perhaps – and you need to get up early for school (school!) first thing Monday morning – who wouldn’t feel depressed! 😉

Actually, depression is a serious issue, and I shouldn’t be so flip about it. I don’t really know the science behind why so many people find it hard to get going on a Monday morning – I did read one thing that suggested it was because our internal clock works on a schedule that is slightly longer than 24 hours – so by the time we get to Monday morning we are out of sync. But I’m not sure that makes too much sense. It’s more likely that the body and mind are more stressed than usual as they face the start of the weekly grind. For most people, this is just something they get over. But I bet there are others that really struggle badly with Monday Morning Blues.
