Hi elmo97…when I had to have my gallbladder out a couple of years ago. I hate operations!:)

No. Absolutely not. The gall bladder is almost entirely useless. It just holds bile (helps with digestion) produced by the liver and concentrates it up so that it works better. Loads of people have their gall-bladders out. Often by key-hole surgery (laparoscopy). I helped out removing a few gall-bladders (mainly holding the camera) when i was training.
You might be thinking about hysterectomy which is an operation to remove the womb.
