• Question: Have you saved any lives? If so What would be the proudest life saving? Or If you saved him from the impossible?

      Gee whizz! I think the life-saving thing is a bit of a TV phenomenon. I don’t think there’s many doctors who can say with a straight-face (unless they are incredibly vain)’saving lives again today!’ I think it’s important to be humble because there’s a lot of people you can’t help and these are the cases that really stay with you.

      Human beings are amazing and it’s certainly true to say that patients have surprised me by their amazing powers of recovery (and in some cases resurrection)….

      I haven’t directly saved any lives to my knowledge. But I hope that my work has allowed people to make decisions that have prevented others from being harmed.

      I’ll leave this one to the doctors!

      Hospital workers are on the front line when it comes to life-saving.
      However, many of the drugs and techniques we use today wouldn’t be possible without all the work that’s been done in the past by many scientists and medical doctors alike.

      We’re a team!
