Question: Since there's a hole in the o-zone layer above Australia, is it possible for a human to burn to death if he stood directly underneath the hole during Summer?
It’s very possible to die from sunburn, you don’t even need to be under an ozone hole for this to happen. Either the burns can be very severe and cause dehydration, infection or side effects like kidney failure. Or over longer term you can get skin cancer. The ozone hole increases the chances of these things happening to you. So you should always wear sunscreen and cover up.
