• Question: if salt is added to water, would the solution still boil at the same temperature?

      No. Adding salt (and other things) raises the boiling point of water. It also lowers the freezing point. This is because of they way the ions (charged molecules that make up salt) interact with the water molecules during a change of state (boiling when water evaporates to form gas and freezing to form ice).
