Directly, we help to advise people when they can and can’t eat seafood as it may be toxic. This also helps save businesses money. We use similar methods to tell people when water is safe to drink. We can also help set guidelines to how many fish should be taken from the sea to ensure people have fish to eat in the future.
I also do a lot of teaching and training so people can learn from our research and apply it to their own work and in different countries.
