• Question: why do you want to look at viral genomes?

      In some viruses we already found that certain parts of the genome interact with the outside coat and thereby help the virus to form. We look at the genome to find these places and they patterns so that in the long run, we can find ways to disturb the interaction, which could be used as medicine against that virus.
