      Hey,

      It’s an interesting question – if there’s so much dark matter how don’t we know more about it? The main reason for this is because we can’t see it, that’s why we call it dark matter.
      We know it’s there thanks to gravity: we know how much gravity there needs to be for everything in the galaxy to be held together, and we know how much comes from the things we can see. There isn’t enough gravity from the things we can see, so we know there is more – dark matter!
      Right know we have good ideas about what Dark Matter isn’t made of, any only a few ideas of what it is.
