• Question: have you discovered what makes you be sick when you are ill ? could you explain please ?! (sorry a bit of a gross question !!)

      I have not discovered this but I can still try to explain it to you. Vomiting is caused by stimulation of a certain part of the brain. Different things can stimulate it, for example certain drugs that work on the brain. When you are ill with a stomach bug, there is inflammation in your intestines. This inflammation sends a signal to this part of your brain, which then induces vomiting. I hope this helps

      Heya,

      You aren’t always sick when you’re ill, but usually you’re sick because the body thinks that whatever is making it fell ill is in your stomach so will make you throw up to get rid of it quickly.
      This is a quick and easy way to try and stop the illness.

      If you’re already ill and you eat, you might be sick because the digestive system is weakened and isn’t able to properly process food, so rejects it and makes you sick again.
