• Question: do you believe that their are such things as aliens? and do you think they could ever take over the world?! :)

      Hey,

      I think there probably are aliens out there, but I doubt they’ll ever come to visit (or invade). There’s so many billions of planets out there, I can’t believe ours is the only one where life has evolved. But maybe the aliens are just so far away that they can never get here. There’s something called the Fermi Paradox, which is basically ‘if there are so many planets and stars that there are bound to be aliens alive, how come we never see any of them?’
      There are a lot of answers people have come up with like ‘maybe aliens don’t tend to bother with exploring space’ or ‘maybe they’re scared of us blowing them up if they come to visit’.

      One of my favourite films is Close Encounters of the Third Kind which is an old film (made before I was born) about friendly aliens that come to Earth to exchange knowledge.
      But most films about aliens make them out to be baddies (Independence day, War of the Worlds)! I hope that won’t be the case.

      I like to think there are other living things out in the universe that we might call ‘aliens’. It seems almost impossible for there not to be given the size of the universe!!
