• Question: Have you ever been in charge of a case?

      No I haven’t, doing research I don’t really take cases on as such. I am in charge of running all my own studies for my PhD though! 🙂

      So, in relation to working with prisoners, one psychologist would generally work with one prisoner at a time (or a group of prisoners) – they will be responsible for thinking of what exercises or treatment might be useful for that person to do in order for them to be less likely to reoffend.

      Yes I have been in charge of several cases. I was in charge of a suitcase on my recent holiday.I was once in charge of a bookcase in a library. I am in charge of my brief case on my way to work and my pillow case on my side of the bed, Oh, and I am in charge of myself, a real nut case.

      Clinical cases yes… I am clinically responsible for what I do with the people I see for therapy. Which is good because it’s important to take that responsibility seriously! I talk about what I do in supervision too though so that helps me get ideas about what to do next and remember to think about what the science says is most helpful.
