About the Relationships Zone

Family, friends, partners, classmates – we have lots of different relationships with lots of different people.

But how does the support we receive from our social networks improve our everyday lives? And how are our lives affected if we lack the support of others?

In this zone, one psychologist is looking at how family relationships can influence people involved in sport, one is researching whether reading stories and watching stories on TV can help us understand people better in real life, and another is studying how technology can influence social relationships in children with autism.

One psychologist is studying how the groups people are part of make them feel and another is finding out what children think about right or wrong actions, and whether they should be punished.
