  Tough to answer that one, as there are some theories that are more plausible and there are a lot that get a lot more crazy.
  
  The most likely one is that they were wiped out when an asteroid impacted Earth. Others say that this was just the final nail in the coffin, and that dinosaurs were already in danger of being wiped out due to a lot of volcanic activity and strange climate.
  
  One day we may know for sure, but we don’t just yet.
