Let’s see – first time I heard about DNA in school was when I was 14, but I was not really studying it that much back then. At university (which I started 7 years ago), I learned a lot more about it (I already knew that I wanted to study genetics by this point). Finally, I started my PhD 3 years ago, and this is when I REALLY started studying DNA – designing my own experiments, interpreting the results of these experiments, and reading a lot about what other people have discovered.
