Question: How do trees breathe?

Through a process called photosynthesis – they have special things in their cells called chlorophylls that can convert sunlight and oxygen into food and carbon dioxide. They can only do this during the day, when there is sun!

During they night, they also use oxygen and produce carbon dioxide, like animals.
